John Rambo's former Vietnam superior, Colonel Samuel Trautman, has been assigned to lead a mission to help the Mujahedeen rebels who are fighting the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, but the Buddhist Rambo turns down Trautman's request that Rambo help out. When the mission goes belly up and Trautman is kidnapped and tortured by Russian Colonel Zaysen, Rambo launches a rescue effort and allies himself with the Mujahedeen rebels and gets their help in trying to rescue Trautman from Zaysen.

I did'nt expect much of this movie: Rambo III before they saw him, then I did and I thought it was great. Is loaded with action and violence, even more than the first two films, and the action sequences, I thought, was better at this than others. There are tons of gunfire and explosions that make it fun. The dialog in RAMBO III pretty (unintentionally) funny, that's not bad or anything. My opinions of the RAMBO films has changed a bit lately. I used to think that RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II was the best, but then I realized that it was first blood. I have to say that Rambo III is the second best in the series, followed by the second, although they are all very good film, not Oscar worthy, but good. In general, a no-brainer entertaining action Rambo III film that does not disappoint fans of the first two films in the series. 3.5 / 5
