| This film was made because the concept translates well summarized in one sentence two that can be used to attract investors. That is, the premise is interesting and sealing. I mean, who hired on the basis of the synopsis. The problem is that there is nothing beyond the initial concept. There is no coherent plot, no characters in its own right, no real comedy, not interesting scenario, no surprise, and no good results (except Jon Herder, who does something with very little). It is as if the people who green lit this thing never read the script, but only the overview. And if there are enough people like me, you might even have made money. Spectator for the future: Do not waste time, there is nothing fun or interesting to see here. For the creators of the movie: Hey, you got your movie, so what if its not that great. Most people never get to see themselves or their work on screen. |
| I found it refreshing to see a new take on romantic comedy. It was the most realistic and credible love story filled with characters who are playing so well to get to know everyone by the end. Definitely made me rethink the whole Superman Clark Kent stigma. I say, look out! Especially if you're looking for something to enjoy with friends, family, or even with your boyfriend / to be. Be ready to laugh, mourn and wonder WHAT? I loved all the characters, and this is the first film I've seen in John Heder, I do not remember him as constantly Napoleon Dynamite. Good job guys! We hope to see more movies like this before |
| This movie had so much potential to be hilarious yet moving, but fell way short, either. He had a great history, simply does not run as good as could have been. The strange "hallucinations" during his dream scenes made absolutely no sense and is definitely not necessary, it did not impact either improve or provide any understanding of what was to come or happen. Jon Heder's character was fine, but it could have been expanded to more. He played poorly the party was at its best. The character was fun, but once again, that fell short of what could have been. Mila's character was perfect and his performance was spot on. Finally, the writing was horrible and more often than not, it makes no sense and their hallucinations did not fit with the film at all. This film, with scripts and better direction, could have been a contender for National Lampoon's Vacation as far as funny, bad things happening to a person on a journey across America. Instead, it was only worthy of a second "flush". If I had seen this in the theater, I have asked my money back and boycotted the film. The only thing that this movie was not a waste of an hour and a half of my life. He also managed to do all those involved in the film looks bad, just because the movie was a stink. I do not recommend this movie to anyone! Ever! |

I think Rutger Hower has a total of about 2 very short scenes and 2 very short voice-overs. The female lead for this movie is much higher than expected in this poor material and talent-she is great, this movie is a dog and he's lost it. | Based on the low score on Rotten Tomatoes that he expected little from this movie. Perhaps it is a testament to the likability of its star Mila Kunis Ben Gourley, but I found myself smiling over a couple of times during this road trip film. The value of production and cinematography are definitely a cut above. Sometimes I worry that something self-indulgent films like this can attract talented production crews when such perhaps more important, but less fashionable stories never see the light of day. But still, I like escapist fare like this and it is sometimes difficult to really put a value on art. If you have a slow night, this will be an entertaining diversion. |
