| I'm going to get the bad things the same way now: This movie is a bit predictable and Sly cups of the camera too. That's it. That's all the bad things I could think of to say about this movie. The rest is all good. People tend to react with disbelief when they hear about a comedy starring Sylvester Stallone. Although I am not sure about the range of Sly on the ability of comedy, "Oscar" proves that he can do comedy, and given the right side, you can do very well. Sly plays Angelo "fit" Provolone, head of a mob that promises his dying father to give up crime racket for good. The film focuses on the morning in which "fits" is preparing to join the ranks of the administration of a bank at noon. During that morning, her daughter ... engaged three times. It also reveals that the pregnant ... unless it is not. "fit" repeatedly lost and recovered $ 100,000 U.S. dollars ... and a bag of clothes for women. And then there is his "other" daughter who did not (think) really her daughter. | This film is a barrel of laughs from start to finish! My first reaction to a comedy Stallone was "Are you kidding?" But it's really funny. From the opening scene in his father's deathbed, which takes a wild journey through a plot with more twists that the best roller coasters, great slapstick humor, and some of the quirkiest characters in the movie. Part of the charm is that none of the characters seem to realize how much fun they really are. Faces the straight through some of the scenes makes me more mad for a long Outtake roll! The date is out of this world, the costumes are wonderful for the period, and true classic car fans will drool over some of the cars in the movie. If you want a totally entertaining, not too serious, funny movie, this is one that you want to see. Just be ready for rib pain of laughter. I was really rolling on the floor. |
| Personally, I love this movie. You look beyond the Syvester Stallone attempted comedy, leaves you with a clear fast funny movie that make you laugh. How many things can go wrong and counterproductive between 8am and 12noon? Well, there are 3 possible husbands for a pregnant daughter who is not pregnant. One of whom wants to marry the father of another daughter who is not his daughter ............ I do not even started on 3 bags of money / jewelry / panties. I could see this movie again and again. In fact - I have. |
| John Landis for almost two types of images - which in reality, and commercials that attempts to do a job in pro. This is clearly one of the first. Sylvester Stallone as a farceur is a strange idea, but the main role in the reform of Wannabe gangster 'fit' Provolone is based on their abilities and limitations, and it would not be easy to think of a movie where better than this. Basic idea is that "fit" is trying to reform, but his gangster 'business' has a lot of loose ends in progress, there are more his band, a rival one, the police, some "clear" that the bankers are trying to get involved with a recalcitrant daughter, and five or six other disasters happening all at once. If the similarities to another revivalist screwball comedy "What's Up Doc" was not sufficiently clear, there are also a number of identical looking bags with a wide variety of content to get confused and endlessly turning in strange places. It is this kind of farce, involving ornate little eccentric characters, of which the show are thieves and Harry Shearer Martin Ferrero little softer as the Finuccis tailors (which are wrong crowd of vicious thugs), Tim Curry and walk with Hunks of the film as a professor of elocution swish. Very very deliberate pace may put off some viewers, but not me, and not clearly show its stage origins-farce. A real one-off though. |
