| wow I loved this movie. This is the best movie of the year. Robin Williams deserves an Oscar for best picture actor.He plays Sy guy.He develops in SavMart.He photos is very obsessed with the Yorkins that have been their best customers. Even considers himself as Uncle Sy. Behind his sad, lonely face of a man obsessed. He's obsessed and wants FITT in. He has no family and lives alone.His wall is a huge collage of photos from customers who made copies of itself. One day she develops photos that disturb him.He ve Will Yorkin is cheating on his wife with another lady.This is very disturbing, disturbing film. The score in the first half of the film along with William `s very narraration recalls perhaps even the same score of American Beauty and the last half hour the result is the same as Requiem for a Dream. Robin Williams, no doubt, shood win best actor Oscar, this is their performance geratest to date.He reminded me of Anthony Perkins in Psycho because it seems a good guy, but just looks can be deceptive. 4 stars from 4 to be seen. | so it was a pleasant surprise to see Williams in this type of role and success. despite the fact that he was highly questionable (and dodgy) murderer in insomnia, their role within an hour of photos was very close to perfect in this small gem of a film. Williams has granted actively pursuing these alternative roles of late and that it could be interpreted as a cynical move that was in his name, however this does not detract from the fact that their role in the photo was scarily on the mark. Directors (Romanek) style, color and timing impeccable art direction does not stray far from its beginnings as a director of music videos, however, is that attention to detail and precision that accentuated when Williams chooses to lose the plot. a memorable scene in the movie of the characters in William Squirting eyes of blood, in marked contrast to the white Formica orders and polished chrome surfaces close to the viewer a feeling of looking intensely at snapshots of a man desperate life. if this movie was that any criticism is in the roles of the actors. and barely be fleshed out as a spectator at times I felt that I was watching robin william Renaissance show, however this is a minor point. If I were to mark the 10 that i would give it a strong 8. |
| Seriously, I have not really been scared like a movie villain since Hannibal Lecter and I've seen more than my fair share of films. I have not seen Insomnia or Death to Smoochy, but if Robin Williams in the executions are still a millionth of the talent displayed within an hour of pictures, defiantely is moving in the right direction. I was originally doubted that he was cast in this role, but after watching, I honestly could not imagine anyone better. He skillfully walks the fine line between making you feel a little upset and frankly uncomfortable around him. Every time we were in a situation with the Yorkin family, I thought 'Oh no Sy, no shame again. " I held sincere condolences for the man until all doubts in my mind of his psychological stability is gone. Let me say now, this is certainly not a "feel good" movie. From minute one, you will be so uncomfortable that you hardly breathe. However, this is not a failure because it is my belief that a film has succedded only when you feel some emotion and the emotion this movie is uncomfortable to say the least. The filming itself was very reminiscent of De Palma and Tarantino with the long Stedi - Cam shots of a character walking, running, so I was more impressed with the sequence of sleep, but it's better if you do not say anything more about it so that The shock value is still there. I will admit (against all the manly codes) that I cried during this movie. I jumped a good five feet from my seat in fear. Not too bad for a film that snuck in (hehehehehehe). |
