| Version 1.0 had a three-some (Shrek, Fiona and Donkey), the hallmark of its existence. In Part Deux, who claim that they love even more, taking adequate support from the latest additions. New entrants: "I expected much of Puss-in-boots, but never mind. The King and Queen are adorable. Prince Charming grabs your attention. And it is the fairy godmother who Outshined all. The guests are just normal on the right (as in version 1.0 - namely, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Pan Man, Bear, blind mice, magic mirror, three pigs) The icing on the cake is impressive and a perfect line the calendar. The interaction between the various characters is well balanced. Needless to say, Shrek "next" will be implemented at the high level of expectations. |
| In many ways, Shrek 2 is that fairy tales, what Kill Bill: Vol.2 is the kind of Kung Fu. Although these are very different films, both false all the previous films of its kind and is charged with insider allusions (just look at the length of the IMDb trivia sections for each!). Both use the latest technology to create a hyper-real quality that goes beyond their precursors to create an impression that the viewer is seeing something that has not been seen before. But each also remains true to its genre "formula conventions of character and figure that, while apparently worn, still love. As a result, they are meeting the movies, meeting some needs but deep roots in the novel and refreshing forms. 2004 May signal a trend in this kind of treatment of the sexes and tread, with Westerns and film as black as two other prospective candidates. |
| After seeing the first Shrek and hearing about this sequel, I was expecting this. And this has to be my favorite movie of Shrek. Not only returned the old characters, new characters including Puss in Boots made his debut and Fiona's parents. The humor is more fun and the animation is better than ever. And my favorite line in the film is "I'm using ladies underwear," to Pincchio. LOL! I also love the celebration of a hero of the song. This is a perfect movie for all fans of Shrek. 10/10 |
