| While a thousand monkeys a thousand typewriters could never write a play like Shakespeare, ten of them could have lines that crank. It is at best a romantic comedy for the whole Barbie and Ken doll, with a script so trite and corny to be unintentionally funny. Gellar is suitably attractive in her role as Amanda, a sympathetic and intelligent young man, but is "it" that becomes bewitched by a character with more depth than a paper cut, taking their only have a lot of money and good conventional appearance. Then the plot revolves around his obsession with capturing him, when it is painfully obvious that it is not worth running after. The title implies that it is "it" that is irresistible, except that is always chasing after him. In other words, if she is so irresistible, why would need "magic" to capture this Dolto? His character is a hundred times more interesting than his own, worrying about bothering others and that, while he is too enamored of "self" care about anyone. The deeper thinking you can is the perfect paper airplane! If there is a prince to this farce of a fairy tale, it could move closer to his friend the chef, who is at least a good friend. But this is a bit embarrassing and history, tediously dull, with no message, but better than the money and charm are more than worth it to have imagination and character. |
| This film is really nothing exceptional. You do not have to serve exceptional, messages, faces (perhaps Sarah M Gellar, but do not see anything), or lines. I would not spend $ 7.50 on it to view it in the theater, or spend $ 3.00 in the rental shop to see this. But why is it when I see on television (I have cable) 9 out of 10 times I stop to watch it? Perhaps because this film talks about the little romantic in us all. We know or learn that relations do not make Emeril dishes that appear in odd or have shed gas deserts, but it is still a nice movie with two of the romance and a happy ending. |
| Simply Irresistible was by far the worst movie I've ever seen. I never comment on the film, but I felt that this was worth a stern warning to the other attendees of the film. The dialogue was worse than a junior high drama class. The story does not follow, either logical or fantastic understanding, I am not sure that even if there was one, or if he did until he was along. That makes no sense, nor attempted to explain any of the retardedness was going on. It literally hurt my brain to see, but I forced myself because I have spent 8 dollars, and the story just worse and worse. Avoid this movie at all costs. Be warned! |
| I was surprised how much I enjoy "Simply Irresistible." I went because I like the tracks of TV programs and I like magical realism. I do not mind that PRI off "Like Water for Chocolate," but I did mind how cheap it has become really bad with bad lighting and cinematography. The screenplay has cute teens in the audience laughing out loud so it's too bad there is no direction imagination. Bring in scenes from fantasy, please. It also urgently needs a choreographer, but he had nice music here and there. It is not the best romantic movie of the year. (Originally written 2/13/1999) |
| When I read about it in my TV guide, my first thought was "bored". However, since there was nothing interesting, I decided to see it. And no regrets taken. The story is very sweet, full of humor and love of situations. Because I like movies where some type of food plays an important role (I love The Women's Top!) And then I loved this too. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sean Patrick Flannery both do an excellent job. They make a great couple together on screen and you can even see the chemistry between. All together, I liked this movie. Funny, sweet and ultimately romantic, spiced with bits of mystery and drama, is a good time:) 9 / 10. Fairly:) |
| This is the most incredible movie. I can not describe it without spoiling it. I did not expect or even like love this movie, but it has become one of my favorites for its "magic" of the quality that shows how people are really scared of feeling that only dream of. The basic story is a girl trying to save his mother the business. She has help from an unlikely source: herself. There are, of course, a love story, but mostly it comes to Amanda and find out who is to admit that it is talent. Sarah Michelle Gellar is great in this movie! This character is completely different from Buffy, or that in Cruel Intentions. This film is also some funny lines like, "Amanda. You must do all women love me and give me all the men their wallets." Because, how many people want that, with magical powers? It's all in good fun and this movie can not be taken seriously. We hope you enjoy. |
| I love this movie. it has everything that makes me feel like it was a good choice. sure it's silly and Cheesy, but that is why we see. It's a little funny that the film's large rented for the weekend (like me), the kitchen, even inspired me to do some of my own. i could have burned close to the house and reminds me of why I cook, but I was never happy in that state of mind that did not matter. If you like the sweet little romantic comedy Simply Irresistible then this is definitely a movie you need to see. perhaps not in the same class as some others, but it's so beautiful you can not help but like it. See, if you do not like then no big deal but if it does so as if ... she loves. |
