| The only thing that separates the quality of dialogue in this absolute piece of garbage and Adam Sandler in "Going Overboard" is that Adam Sandler is not in Twister. How, as a respected actor reasonably allowed to make some nerd with a "take-1" blackboard telling talk nonsense in this microphone? Who was the friend said that this deserves a 10 or 11 and Whin "why the critics hate every movie I love?" Deserves to have 10 or 11 UFC lightweights to break each of their limbs. Anyone who laughs at this badly written, 21st century "safe, accessible" sitcom dialogue is an RUBE complete whose views on the movie are worthless. I'd like to see again only if the alternative was a guillotine of death. Please go to the local university and audit of a film class, completing the geese. |
| OK, well, the special effects were good, but since when do the special effects make a film? When did it become OK in Hollywood to make films that do not need a script that makes sense, decent acting and characters you care at all? Hell, even the "science" of the film is ridiculous. Abysmal in the film is better. Crichton, as a very educated man, should be ashamed of having his name associated with this garbage. |
| This was really a horrible example of Hollywood trying to make a success without heart or attention to history. Every moment of this film is an effort to make a "spectacular" and not a moment is dedicated to making the film. They stress, a cow get swept past a truck that is not swept away by the wind itself, "bad" storm chasers trucks in black (yes, evil in black and trucks) that are "in it for the money" (what money? ??!), Tonto and a stage where, apparently, can run inches in front of a F5 tornado ( "The Finger of God") and not suffer damage. The writers do tornadoes in poor intelligent entities bent on destroying and killing ... instead of just the violent climate that is difficult to predict. A scene of our heroes has been chased by a tornado, apparently to get into almost a Three Stooges-type sequence in which nothing goes well in his efforts to escape. It's silly, contrived, and the special effects are not enough to make this watchable (I have no idea how people can enjoy a movie just for its special effects). Trucks get thrown, houses explode, floating cows ... the producers thought this would be enough for the "mass effect" to fork over $ 9 at the box office. I was one of those suckers who do! Unless you are blind, they do not see. |
| When I was a child between the ages of 5 and 9, we used to go to the pictures on Saturday morning at the local Odeon. There we Lappen a diet of cartoons and films by loved every minute of it. Now I dare say I have enjoyed this movie if it had been proved when I was that age. But I can not believe that anyone over 11 years might think that this movie has something to offer. If I have not had the misfortune of seeing also recently Cruise II, Twister then would have to classify as the worst big-budget picture ever. One of the other commentators said that the dialogue and acting in this movie is very good - they are serious ?????????? This film is devoid of any "plot" that deserves the name. Do not waste your time unless you want to keep children occupied for a couple of hours. |
