| A funny picture with a lot to like about it, but paper-thin. The problem is that there are no real obstacles. Charlie wants money, money it receives. He wants hot water with his philandering leaves. Whatever you want Charlie, Charlie receives. Not to make great drama or depth of character. It feels like a long episode of a television program. It feels like Sorkin has been making television a long time. The best part of this film: Charlie Wilson's War is Hoffman steals every scene in which as usual and it is not small feat against Hanks. Better as a rental contract. Not a bad movie, by any means, but not too much. Cotton candy gone as soon as you leave the theater. Trying to make my tenth line Sprinting to the finish here. Puffing and encouragement. |
