| Ghosts of Mars John Carpenter tells the story of Melanie Ballard (Natasha Henstrigde), in charge of a police lieutenant on Mars in 2025. Humans have been colonizing and mining on Mars for some time, but when Ballard and his squadron are sent to remote areas to apprehend the dangerous criminal and a convicted murderer James "Desolation Williams (Ice Cube), who discovers that he is the least of their concerns. Mining operations have unleashed a deadly army of Mars spirits who take over the bodies of humans and will not stop until they destroy all the invaders of their planet. This amazing B-movie thriller is as full of explosive action and great music written by the writer and director John Carpenter himself (functions / played by the famous anthrax). | Ghosts of Mars was wonderful. it is true horror ~ Pam Grier as Commander Elena Bradock was his best yet! despite the fact that his head is chopped off in the beginning it was still great. John Carpenter was also at its best since the fog in this Ghosts of Mars film ~ keep up John and Pam |
| First, let me say that as a general carpenter Movies. Especially this and vampires were great. However, lets go back to "John Carpenter Ghosts of Mars." It has a very original (which recently added) the plot. In which the inhabitants of a small outpost of March are becoming vicious killing machines. I especially liked the performance of ice cubes. The DivX Movie Ghosts of Mars begins on the premise that a security detail is supposed to Desolation Williams (Ice Cube) back to Chrisey to stand trial for the murders allegedly committed. The cast includes some well known names such as 'Pam Grier, Jasaon Statham'the previously mentioned Ice Cube and, finally, Natasha Henstridge. I must warn, however, the movie: Ghosts of Mars is nothing for people who want to see another Sci-Fi Movie. It is very, very Brutal. History shows that the miners found dead almost a kind of a lifestyle that owns other people. Bueno said he could guess what comes after that. The team has to fight them and return safely. I do not want to spoil the Ghosts of Mars Horror for you, but it is a category very sf horror film: Ghosts of Mars from John Carpenter, a director who brought as such good films as: vampires, Halloween, Escape from New York and Los Angeles and so on ... |
| I liked this movie. Of course it was a b-movie, but it has some interesting plot lines, and each character has an individual story, like the woman who crashed over the globe. The battle scenes are action-packed, and when someone is killed off at least some gore to be had. The special effects were sub-par by any stretch. The ending leaves you hanging, however. If you like violence and gore including zombies get cut by commando who become zombies themselves, this is the Ghosts of Mars Horror film for you. 8 / 10 |
| Who expected that the next candidate for "best Ghosts of Mars movie of John Carpenter? Of course not. But his films have a certain charm. They all have certain B-movie qualities, which alone is not a bad thing. "Ghosts" has no virtually no story, but hey - it does not matter. It has a rear boot soundtrack, performed by the master himself (as usual) with the help of some well-known metal and hardrock bands (not usual). All this has style. As "vampires" and "Escape from New York" have. His narrative structure is not chronological unusally, the establishment has a most realistic feel to it and the players are not all that bad. Although Pam Grier has definitely seen better times, the movie-wise. But we Natasha Henstridge and Ice Cube. And what the hell, I've never seen a carpenter on the depth of character development. His films manage something that many big-budget productions not: that entertain. And certainly, "Ghosts" is fun to see, like the usual "good guys versus bad BAM BAM" computer game. Not very sophisticated, fine. However, it still works well in some way. |
| Is a Ghosts of Mars film to see in a dull, rainy afternoon or evening. Nothing particularly special about the movie. John Carpenter seems to have been Jinx or something long ago. His films often start as very promising, but quickly rots as the picture progresses. He is a good example of the directors who begin to create masterpieces on a minuscule budget, but loses its way when working with large budgets. And it is a pity that I did not get to explore more of the Wanda dejesus character. She seems to be one of the most interesting throughout the film, along with Pam Grier. His luck came after his abandonment to his people after battling the zombies. She dropped the fight, I guess. But what waste! |
