Finally, seen this on pay-per-view after not seeing in theaters. I have not seen in theaters, because she was afraid he was going to be a long talk. Guess what, it was just a long talk about drugs. I do not have any business in Hollywood comments on the war against drugs. I guess this is supposed to be one of the best movies Hollywood puts out so they can go out with all the films of realistic violence that constantly release. All this seemed like a very trivialized summary of the issues for me. I have liked most of the work of Steven Soderbergh in the past, but this DivX film Traffic was not very good for me. The yellow and blue moves simply annoying and I have no idea what it was supposed to symbolize. None of the acting highlights for me. This was just a bad film: Traffic overhyped. , The file is 0 for the 10 stars on my part.
Steven Soderbergh for "Traffic", loosely based on a Channel 4 series of the same name, is undoubtedly one of his most impressive films, a powerful, and generally watchable credible overview of the many facets drug trafficking, and also something that coalesce into a coherent approach thriller with a well-balanced final. Politically, the film: Traffic makes the point that the drug war is hopeless (or at least the language of war and "czars" not helpful when considering the problem). However, it still supports the idea of something toxic drugs that feed into the American society from the outside, rather than an innate characteristic of almost all societies, nor to stress the imbalances of wealth behind the existence of trafficking routes represents. One of Sodebergh style techniques typically exaggerated, that the filming of the U.S. and Mexico through different color filters, it also exaggerates the effect of drugs and drug barons as a threat mainly abroad. "Traffic" is good in the "how", but the recent documentary series on Channel 4, 'Cocaine', probably did a better job in explaining the "why" of drug trafficking, and was more emotionally powerful as a result. Warnings aside, "Traffic" remains a strong, fascinating DVD film Traffic that asks some, but not all, of the right questions, and the Traffic film is interesting, too. In my books, Sodebergh is the best film.
Yes, certainly. This is a remake. And no, it's better than the original. If you want to see something really hard and totally incredible direction, acting, writing and photography, see the 1989 mini-series Traffik, which is what the film: Traffic is based on. Some of the characters have changed, but is essentially the same story. Therefore, to reiterate, yes, this is an amazing movie, but the original is better easily. Del Toro and performed in films better than this, however, this is obviously the highlight of Soderbergh's career as a filmmaker. In addition, there are too many unnecessary language in this version. If we look at the 1989 version, not the language for a reason: it is not necessary because the acting is so terrible.
