| This DVD movie Ice Station Zebra is very underrated on this site. It is in a genre that is not really very often more - the adventure of action that is plausible, both in the plot and technology. The action and adventure plays equal to the action and dialogue. It is like a World War II action Ice Station Zebra Action that, for example, one of Arnold Schwartzeneger of action films. As an artistic piece of work, lack of women (and any romantic story) maintains this Cold War image completely focused on the main story, and makes the job all the players that much more difficult to keep the viewer engaged. There is also a good bit of spectacular location in the filming that still your breath away with its beauty. The polar icecap real scenes (with actors), where the focal point of the DVD movie Ice Station Zebra action takes place is a set. And it is a glorious one. No CGI images here! I bought this DVD for this DivX film Ice Station Zebra in a negotiation bin. If you have a chance of a snap, and view or rent a decent TV. Great transfer. Good score, too. |
| Why is it that Hollywood has a problem with the scripts? What is the horror of making a DVD movie Ice Station Zebra that really has the same story as the book that took the title? This could be a good film, provided that you have not read the book but if you have, not bother you. The good plot of the book that makes it impossible to leave the book until the end here is transformed into a sad action caper with actors playing stereotypes. Sorry but I really do not like this movie. McLean is the only movie: Ice Station Zebra DECENT "Where Eagles Dare", probably because he wrote the book after the script for the movie. |
| Commander James Ferraday (Rock Hudson), the captain of the nuclear submarine USS tiger, receives an allowance for three people to the North Pole: the civil David Jones (Patrick McGoohan), the Russian defector Boris Vaslov (Ernest Borgnine) and the sea captain. Leslie Anders (Jim Brown). His secret mission is to recover an American Ice Station Zebra film of a camera in English in a Russian spy satellite, which felt the ice near the Zebra. People working at the station are not responding to the call of radio and nobody knows what might have happened to them. Throughout the voyage of the USS Tiger, there is something of sabotage on board which means that probably one of the new passenger is a Russian spy. A tense final and cynical ends a long history, but attractive. Although the cold war has disappeared at the moment, this Ice Station Zebra Action film is a good movie. Rock Hudson and Patrick McGoohan had a great performance. My vote is seven. |
