"Fighting Tommy Riley" is as naively script, and be so pedantic, so that pedestrians could not say what the point of the image was more than halfway there. Extremely long and slower than molasses, which tells the story of a very tired one hot-headed young boxer, once an Olympic coach in the hope / stepfather issues to be taken under the wing of a burned-ex - coach become a schoolteacher, men learn to appreciate life again through training and become friends, until he discovers his coach the fight is not only gay, but harbors a secret, full of shame and yen he. Screenwriter and co-producer JP Davis plays the boxer, his youth and the confusion in part on the circumstances it is understandable - although I would think that the child might be a little more street smart than this. Eddie Jones has the showier role, sitting front row and always on hand with literary quotes and speeches about the trust. The Fighting Tommy Riley Drama film does not seem to know much about the sport of boxing, and the camera is never in the right place for us to get the feel of a battle, the rush of adrenalin. However, some dialogue is not bad, and Davis attempted to get something intense and personal is certainly commendable, but the DivX film Fighting Tommy Riley is never much more than ordinary. In theme and execution, Fighting Tommy Riley is less than Rocky and gods and monsters. I know there are many differences between the two DVD film Fighting Tommy Riley themes, but there are enough similarities to call attention to them. In Riley, written by and starring JPDavis, an increasingly aging homosexuals have a straight, young, uneducated piece under his wing. Here, as monsters, the young man is rejected by his mentor at first sexual predilections, and then through the frustration, confusion and a sense of responsibility, it gives man greater. Riley, a meaning, if the DivX film Fighting Tommy Riley is predictable, yet ends with monsters like the older man to suicide and the young man to find his way back to his girlfriend. One major difference between the two films is that God works in all levels, from start to finish, while Riley, though tied by playing with some good moments and dialogue, spends much of his time to review the same boxing cliches that we have ever seen. I would like to see more of JP Davis as a writer, as is, without doubt, there is a promise. Fighting Tommy Riley is far from a bad movie. It is simply not enough to recommend without reservation. |
Fighting Tommy Riley is just one of the best Indie films I've seen. I have been glued to the screen within ten minutes. JP Davis is a man of many talents. In addition to playing the title character, who wrote the screenplay and produced the film, too. And that can act! On the surface it looks like an underwear model, as many as 20 players and the next, but this guy has an emotional vocabulary. Mainstream Hollywood should be at your door. He fully inhabits Tommy Riley in a way that very few players with the right of "search" can aspire to achieve. Casting veteran actor Eddie Jones was a coup. Davis met Jones at each level of intensity and the two of them create a complicated and wonderful. Jones, in fact, is to break the heart, a character that so often in empty sentimentality depressions are honest with reality. The film: Fighting Tommy Riley is directed brilliantly. The story is told clearly and directly. The gay subtext coach Lusting after combat is handled with frankness, sincerity and truth with a bittersweet taste. It shows a sad event in our society, directly or gay, that older people are denied the physical love at all levels. This is far more fascinating than Hollywood hype favorite Fighting Tommy Riley Drama film Cinderella Man and Million Dollar Baby. Director O'Flaherty has more talent in his little finger that Ron Howard and Clint Eastwood in their collective bodies great ball. |
I saw the world of Fighting Tommy Riley first in LA Film Festival on Sunday, June 20. This is a really good movie. Eddie Jones (Marty) is a nice level of performance that moved me to tears at points. Tayler's Diane "Diane Stone," gave a spark to the film. I wish I had seen more of this character and the relationship that she and Marty has been developed further. JP Davis was also good. This Fighting Tommy Riley Drama movie is in many ways a familiar story, but said in a different way. I was not expecting a film: Fighting Tommy Riley set in the world of boxing, but this DivX film Fighting Tommy Riley is about love and the bonds that unite us. I hope this Fighting Tommy Riley Drama movie is the distribution, because it is a great film: Fighting Tommy Riley with some very good results. |
Just watch this DVD, still buzzing, forgive me if I gush a little ... AMAZING film, imo. Flix big fan of boxing, which is why I chose this. But this is not really about boxing at all, boxing is only a large and compelling metaphor for backup-and-keep-on maintenance, it could have been anything to justify these characters so intense, so it worked well, but only the setting, the story is the relationship, stories, gifts, consequences, layers ... totally smoke million dollar baby, I think, in many ways. Great performances, fascinating Fighting Tommy Riley film / art direction, as a great illustration of books, often, esp. at first, gut-wrenchingly moving ... Look! |
