| "House of Purim" has some delicious moments, but for the most part, this is one of the weakest efforts to Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy. The best part of the For Your Consideration Comedy movie for me is the farce of the parody of "Entertainment Tonight", played by Willard and Jane Lynch. All the superficial aspects of rotten television that made fun of, including editing and ridiculous camera angles, the petty banter, false Tans, plastic faces, music and empty-headed cheesy armies. The whole package is gloriously torn. In fact, the For Your Consideration Comedy film was a mockumentary of one of these types of shows, which could have given more strength. The DVD movie For Your Consideration is flat, in my view, reaching the third act. The big punch at the end you can see a mile away, and then kind of DVD film For Your Consideration fades and dies. In fact, when the closing credits roll, not even feel like a legitimate purpose. There are many loose ends that never were completed or visited and many people fall for the For Your Consideration Comedy completely, without explanation or resolution. I think the script needed a bit more polished. If I had gone through two or more revisions, there could have been a very special film. By contrast, the DivX Movie For Your Consideration has some terrible moments, some laugh-out-heavy scenes, but as a whole does not really offer. Still, I like the cast, and I like humor and I look forward to the next offer from the host. |
| I am also surprised by some of the negative comments about "For Your Consideration." The satire seemed to be very accurate - particularly in its analysis of the average life of the actor - who is much more like "For Your Consideration" Ricky Gervais and the brilliant "Extras" that anything you're likely to see in this evening of entertainment that is safe. Having studied method acting for several years (long), and worked as an extra in several low points in my life (never), I must say that I laughed until I cried. Without it being the end, Hacke Marilyn's closing scene is just about money - what a cracker! Performance, training and DVD film For Your Consideration are all exposed to exploitation of the gullible, because many people are desperate to be part of it, therefore, is a place for satire. For me, this was more money in the "Waiting for Guffman" Although I liked too. For consideration has accused edges. I believe the great Ricky Gervais performed in this film. Gervaise is an 'English' comedy, whereas the sensitivity of the host are very American - but shared a fascination with the idiosyncrasies human platitudes and weaknesses that create a very contemporary comedy of manners. |
