| This little gem was given a bad review by a local newspaper critical and could not agree more! I loved it. Judy Dench (wonderful) and Bob Hoskins are fabulous in their roles and I loved the flirtatious hangover. This Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy film made me laugh and mourn .... I left the theater feeling beautiful ... What more could ask for in a movie? The history of the Theater and the Mill (ludicrious) laws that allow nudity on stage was very interesting. I think Will Young did very well in his first film, I'm an Oldie enjoying his song. Overall a great movie, Judy Dench fans will not be disappointed, and I hope that some young people attending the DVD movie Mrs Henderson Presents give it a go as worth seeing. |

Coming from the UK, the Mrs Henderson Presents film is not a drama or a comedy. "Mrs. Henderson Presents" is best described as a "dramedy" mixed with a musical. Judi Dench is immersed in his usual role with ease, playing Laura Henderson. As a top class left a widow with lots of money, buy a theater, the names of El Molino. Through the love-hate relationship between Mrs. Henderson and her theater director (the brilliant Bob Hoskins), with most revolutionary program in England: naked women on stage. "Mrs. Henderson Presents," constantly changing drama to comedy, but it's so skillfully directed by Stephen Frears that maintains a fluid and elegant tone. This is a Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy film that is told through the eyes of its protagonist, Laura Henderson, a realistic sense of optimism exists. The message is naive buoyancy Mrs. Henderson grabs the continuing tragedy and sadness. Stephen Frear of the new DVD movie Mrs Henderson Presents is truly tragic and heartbreaking, but ironically, it's incredibly fun. In "Mrs. Henderson presents," The Windmill Theater stands as a knight in shining armor for soldiers and people of England. It is also a delightful escape that deserves more than one visit. |
| Superb performances by Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins that this 2005 film. It is a fantastic example of British cinema doing what he does best. The combination of an adjustment period with humor, pathos and tragedy is a Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy that takes you from laughter to tears within minutes. Judi Dench's opening scene takes us from the sobriety and a controlled environment before the war aristocratic English for the funeral of a moment of emotional release in the apparent privacy of a rowboat on a river English. Ms. Henderson faces the loss of his father for failing to attend morning coffee or charity functions, but by buying the Windmill Theater and placed in a bawdy burlesque magazine. Enter Bob Hoskins as Vivian Van Damm, smoking cigars Dutch Jewish theater manager. The two have a love hate relationship that has served well the chemistry between the two of them is electric. (Possible spoiler) At a time when Mrs Henderson, Vivian Van Damm approaches after receiving the news of the round of the Dutch Jews by the Nazis. This scene is underestimated by the sensitivity that these two actors elicited an emotional response in me and all the people were viewing the movie. Excellent casting Leo Davis. Kelly Reilly is the monitor in 2006. Thelma Barlow and Christopher Guest is hilarious as Lord and Lady Cromer Conway. Martin Sherman script is smart, witty and touching. I went with a tear in my eye and joy in my heart. Lose. Will Young and can act and sing. |
| Oh is not it great? As British, I get a little tee-ed with the heritage of "type of movie, the guy who presented an image that never existed, but the presence of the old lady Mrs Henderson gives you a really uplifting quality. I enjoyed this movie, all the results were excellent, Judes, of course, but Bob Hoskins and ... oh, and Will Young - who reminds me of Tommy Tune in Novio - well worth a few pounds of money from anyone! I saw a preview screening and was fortunate to chat with Bob Hoskins after the movie. It was wonderful, a pocket-sized package of fun (though Bob, I need two fags). I asked him how it was working with the Lady (who is reputed to be fully committed and therefore can be a bit scary). He grinned a smile the size of the Dartford Tunnel and said 'Judy! It frightened the effing (but did not say 'effing') out of my life! "It was a great moment - is one of my heroes in stunning Long Good Friday and Mona Lisa ... and a little gray-haired old terrified him! He said that the ball around the clock and worked as a Trouper. Wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Mrs. Henderson presents, it's nostalgic, yes, it helped a little, but hey, it still allows for artistic license, no? And I do sit through the turgid dross like Notting Hill or Four Weddings. As British films go - this might just signal a bit of a return - we can only hope. |
| this DivX Movie Mrs Henderson Presents is based on real events, about a woman who recently lost her husband and is now trying to cope with the fact that she is a widow. that amuses herself by purchasing a theater, and then the DVD film Mrs Henderson Presents moves ......... and the story of this film: Mrs Henderson Presents is touching the heart. although it contains nudity, at no point does being vulgar. this is a very good film, actually. Judi Dench is simply Spell binding.she simply brilliant. just funny, clever, adorable and at the end of the Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy very reasonable. worth trying for people who want to see a Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy film with class and substance. 8 / 10 and 10-10 for Judi corse. |
