| "Evita" is an opera, even a rock opera, in the true sense of the word - there can be no fifty words spoken dialogue in the entire movie. The music drama is a very stylized, which is certainly not everyone cup of tea. Perhaps that is why the overall rankings due to the Evita Musical IMDb voters, 6.3 out of 10 is as low as it is. For those of us who like the form of opera, however, this is a great DivX Movie Evita to see beautiful, well acted, and most importantly, well sung. The only weakness I found was that inherent in each piece of Andrew Lloyd Webber: too little recycling songs and more than two hours. However, Tim Rice lyrics are wonderful, inventive and are constantly driving history. Madonna was good in the title role, but the performance of Antonio Banderas as Che was great, both musically and dramatically. "Evita," is highly desirable, 8 out of 10. |

| I was thinking about this Evita movie would be fine. I only really saw it because I love Antonio Banderas, but turned out to be one of my favorite movies. I never liked Madonna but I was pleasantly surprised by his performance, his performance was good and his voice to these songs was wonderful. Madonna, surprisingly good. Antonio Banderas-Outstanging as ever. Antonio Banderas has a wonderful voice and after seeing this Evita Musical I went and bought the soundtrack. Eva and the waltz Che always brings tears to my eyes. i rarely cry in movies and have only about twice (that makes three), but this is an exceptionally sad DVD movie Evita and we must see for all. |
