What a genius! Okay, so this is not profound, socially significant, whiney, agenda full of claptrap (ie Sarande Susan did not call). Pity it was all fun, all spectacular, not vulgar action and excitement! God is evil? Is there something I'm missing here? No excuses to be made for this film. The DVD movie Sahara was great, the story was fresh, the characters and enrich the performance was just what it should be. Everything clicked. This is very bad not to receive more attention when it was, because it is a very entertaining movie. Not just sobbing on social injustice or artificially implanted political correctness, I guess. For all the naysayers out: lighten up! This is a great movie! Even your grandmother likes, and their children. I wish I could do much more!

Nice Sahara film popcorn. The performance is good and Matthew McConaughey is only part of Dirk Pitt. The rest of the cast is also good. Steve Zahn had the best part I think. The character was not typical of the partner and the director has in mind by Al give as much screen time as Dirk.I also read the novel and Sahara Comedy are still entertaining. There were a couple of scenes that made me laugh in disbelief, but the Sahara movie needed such things. Dirk Pitt, the clever adventurer always turns adversity into an advantage and this Sahara film is fairly well they represent. Moreover, the dialogue between Dirk & Al is good. I just felt out of order Rudi be represented as a nerd. It is still a good view, although it helps not to be hypercritical.
