Since the opening of the scene I was totally gripped by this film, and the sense of the threat of ever leaving. I very well cared what happened to the 2 female leads, and I came within an inch away from the screen through great stress. The (low), acting first-rate, in my opinion, and totally credible, assured direction, editing and perhaps the ultimate triumph, with the use of experts in flashbacks that slowly reveal the horror and Sleaze . Made with a budget and within a tight schedule, these factors seem only to add to the rough and ready quality of this movie. I staggered out feeling relieved, but also strangely high, and a large reward for my £ 6.50 investment. Only 2 scenes seem a bit contrived in order to maintain continuity in place, but the shift towards the end was clever and resonant. On a par with "My Name is Joe 'and' Trainspotting '. Oh yeah, and my apartment in Brighton (from a distance) is located in one of the scenes:)

The fact that the Edinburgh International Film Festival awarded its prize New Director Paul Andrew Williams is a strong enough indicator of the strengths and unique qualities from London to Brighton. It is true he made in a shoe string budget, and issued in connection with unknowns, the movie never looks cheap or out of their depth. I was surprised when I saw him in Edinburgh why a tough and strong image of the criminal underworld that is. The leading performances in huge surprise to many, and William of writing is exceptional. The film really zip along 90 min through its length, and pulls the viewer into a blocking tight hug. In my opinion this movie is one of the highlights of the year so far and a real find for the UK film industry. For the first time that the director is working on a small budget, getting five stars on the comments and Guarduan Scotsman, and high praise of the times is a hell of an achievement. I hope that other people who love British cinema to see when theatrically released.

This movie really took me by surprise. What was expected some amateur effort first film that I hoped would have enough good ideas to make it worth seeing complete what I have is a minor masterpiece of cinema. I can not remember the last time I saw a British movie with these stories Verve. It is incredible to think that this is a first feature from writer \ director Paul Andrew Williams, on a budget of nothing. I can not wait to see what he produces in the coming years. The development of the story is masterfully done. The small details of the interaction of characters are incredibly well observed. This is the future of British cinema, not endless rehash of Jane Austen and insipid rom CMO.
