| This was not a bad movie, but it was not a good film. It's fun, yes, but thats about it. If you would have been tied up loose ends, this may have been a generally decent and enjoyable film. If the director had been standing outside taking questions, which would have been busy for a while. Why Haydens character have the ability to jump? How do you get it? Why so, as if there will be a sequel? Millie Why go to Rome with David the same day they re-unite, ten years later? Too many unanswered questions for a DivX Movie Jumper of this genre. His visually pleasing, and the Jumper Thriller takes you to places that some people only dream of. What was the point of Diane Lane as the nature of Haydens mother? Why why why. For an action-adventure film, which was mediocre. I give this DVD movie Jumper 6 / 10 and suggest waiting for a dollar rent. |
| What a disappointment. We've seen the trailer for this and I thought that looked very good. The problem was the trailer containing the best bits. It began at a pace and we found that 'rice' has a special skill that you can think of a place that has been before and that "hey presto" is there instantly. It would be very useful in real life. For some reason, "Jumpers" are considered bad for 'champions'. As a result Paladins, hunting Jumpers with the aim of killing them. We are not told why. We are told by Roland, played by Samuel L Jackson, that "only God should be in two places at the same time." Rachel Bilson, of course, capable of much more, has played the bimbo stereotypes. She was completely unfazed by the "back from the dead" re-emergence of his high school sweetheart. The effects were exaggerated, so obviously CGI, not to impress. There are many things that could have been doing in the 88 minutes I spent watching this nonsense. |
