| I am very critical about movies, especially those that happen in the eyes of my 9 and 7-year-old daughter, so it is extremely surprised and impressed with the Lions second. I dragged on the depth of this film and challenged by what they presented. Tucked into the mystery of the guys from the past (Revelation in the light of the moon) is a revelation of a life well lived. What drives men to a life of adventure and Where to go when your body can not keep? What, When, Where determines how it spends the wisdom of the ages? Created in the image of God, challenges us to be fully alive, while we have the strength. "Sometimes things that may or may not be true are the things that man needs to believe in the most" and I will not spoil the film for you by giving you the carrot. I will tell you that there is a sincere love of life in this story that is totally convincing. Go read 'Waking the Dead "and" If you want to walk on water, you have to leave the boat, "see" Lions for the second with his bravest friends and loved ones who want to be so brave, and then I am for coffee in Marseille. | No doubt you're reading this review because someone suggested you see this movie. Yes, it has a silly name, and has a son in it, so you do not want to waste their time. Stop delaying and get past. Watch the video. I promise you will not regret it. I swear, every time I recommend this movie, people respond with "what was the name again?" And then they look at me like I just said that I like anchovies on my pizza. On a serious note, this film has the word evil in that, so you may not want your sub-10-year-old to see it. Adults? Absolutely. And I would not defy Misty-eyed. Not that it is a sad movie. No. It is a film that will leave you a good feeling, and you try not to, but I just recommend it. Netflix gave me my parents (after giving me the look anchovy), and then it provides to its neighbors (I'm sure that gave them the look anchovy). Watch the video. Trust me. |
| I have been told by many people this is a great film and one that I needed to see. Well, finally saw today and did not disappoint. You have so many great elements to it. I laughed in some parts and cried my eyes in the other. I loved the line "... died with his (or her) in their boots." It's a big statement about her life the most out of life and believe in things that really matter like love and honor. The actors are fabulous. I think the young Haley Joel Osment has much to offer movies and I hope we see much more of it in the future. Michael Caine never disappointed me and I love her Texas accent in the film. In general, this is a film truly fit for all ages. A real heart of film with a great message for anyone who will listen. |
| (A couple of minor spoilers) I so enjoyed this movie. I loved the characters, especially the larger than life (but very sure whether it was true) the nature of Hub and Garth. Duvall and Caine did some of his best works. Was Absolute rascals, but absolutely adorable in doing so. Osment continues to grow as a young actor and must become a very successful adult actor (not all child stars do). That touched my heart many times, like when Jasmine comes to the aid of "their puppy." I found tears Welling up to a minute and then laugh until it hurts the next (Hub sordid Stan hit with the butt of his shotgun while laying there). Even the times when you knew what was coming (Duvall kicked fillings of the 4 thugs in the warehouse), the results were so good that it was fun watching all this happen. This was a 9 out of 10 for me. Highly recommend it to anyone. |
| This movie made us laugh and mourn. It touches all aspects of growth and increasing age. This is the right way to live, and the bad. There is a sense of humor of some crotchety old uncles and sadness of a child who is regrettable that an irresponsible mother. There are swashbuckling sword fights and surprises to keep it moving at a nice pace. If I say that rather than ruin. The surprises are what makes it so special. The less you know about this movie before seeing it better. I was not feeling so good, I watched again the next night. This is a rental. Unless you are a person very hard, I guarantee it will laugh and sometimes even more difficult than ever to mourn films will have a scowl on his face at least once. | I knew absolutely nothing about this movie when we got a video store ... what a pleasant surprise! This has to rank as my movie of the year for 2004. The story is big and sustained, the magnificent - interesting to see grow Osment, of Forrest Gump (which is where I first saw him) to the present. Caine and Duval are bright as ever. Frankly, I can not find fault in this film. The only reason I would not recommend it is if you're looking for something to do with a serious or grave than in romance ... but other than that, just watch it. The humor is sharp, dry and off-center, and the movie does not have that sticky "Hollywood" feel that many of them gives you today. |
| I like fairy tales, and this movie is certainly one of them. I would like to have the granduncles! The kid did the right thing. It is not often that movies like this is done today. It really hit me. I liked this movie from the beginning. Although it is fairly predictable, who still have a few surprises. I also believe that this movie is going to teach someone a lesson in behavior toward the elderly. You never know who is trying to ... This film shows human relationships very well. The actors effectively this show too. Not all players are capable of doing so. Well, I will recommend this movie for all audiences. And finally a request for makers of the film, please do more films like this! |
