| Top Gun is my favorite movie. It is one of the greatest ever made. You can see again and again and one never tires of it. It has everything that nobody wants in a film. Drama, love, sadness, Humor, rivalry, action, cool soundtrack, etc. The cast of Top Gun is hardly surprising, since it has many stars of both past and present. It has lines that are instant classics, and action sequences that set a new standard of quality. Top Gun revolutionized the summer blockbuster. There is a lack of anything except more black people that is why I only gave him a 9 as punctuation. I may be biased, because my father is the favorite movie, and I've been watching since age 2, but I absolutely love this movie, and I think it is one of the greatest ever. Peace. |
| Top Gun - on the surface, a militaristic, macho-adrenaline movie with the obligation of love interest. Pure Reagan-era Hollywood. But only on the surface, that is. Read between the lines, as Tarantino did for this infamy, and you soon begin to see what actually happens in this movie. If you do not see it, do sleep with me, a 1994 film in which Quentin Tarantino cameos (late-on) at a party and a little over completely re-interpret Top Gun. It's funny, and probably Spot-On. Just listen to Hollywood and Wolfman the first time that we see in the press room. Then, when you've rewatched Top Gun, try to see the break point, Batman Forever, and a few others like that. Regardless of your politics, Top Gun is a fun movie, one of the oh-so of the 80 films that defined their era - normally found in the same collection as Ferris Bueller, The Goonies, St.Elmo 's Fire, "Dirty Dancing" and that sort of thing. Kitsch. Oh, and the tracks (Cruise, McGillis and Kilmer) are all superb here. |
| Well, I loved the movie. I love movies flight. The scenes of flight and the sound track is a fantastic game. The evolution of Maverick just a hot shot pilot talented a responsible mature human being is well done without it, because too often the case, a striking an epiphany. Admittedly, sometimes I do that only for the flying scenes Zap and the rest of the film. |
| Top Gun is a classic film 80. Fueled by a great soundtrack and some truly stunning aerial photography this film remains one of my favorites of all time. The most amazing thing about this movie is that it is never boring (even after they wathcing times 100000000) each reignites see the same feelings as the first time. It may not have the greatest plot of all time, but it was and has remained high in many people on the list of favorites. It should be seen, although it has not? |
| I went to the local electronics store and yesterday at the "home theater" room to show this film. Any film that was made more than 15 years and is still technically good enough to display audio / video has to be good. Yes, the plot is not exactly "Braveheart", however the results are not bad, although some of the lines are definitely a bit of "Hollywood". (corny). Just take this movie in face value ... a movie made to inspire patriotism and show (justify) the billions of dollars putting in hardware for the defense budget of the Reagan era. Is glorifying war? Probably a little. But human beings are tribal people. Tribes and always want more. More land, more wealth, etc. Therefore, war is always inevitable at some point in time and place. In general, the film has great cinematography, and the average person will not notice the technical inaccuracies that everyone else is complaining. Oh, and what is the aspect ratio to 2.00 from the transfer ... you can totally say that the film was composed of 2.35, as most of the fourth bottom of the screen is filled with nothing. I can not imagine why it was transferred to 2.00 .. Overall a very good film for what it is. |
| Top Gun, loved and loathed by many alike. The film that launched the career of Tom Cruise. I am a student and watching Top Gun for me is an amazing uplifting experience. A 'feel good' movie that could lift the worst of moods. The film is executed to perfection cheese, there are some lines of silly, but there are some really great! The aerial action sequences are truly amazing, and by 1986 no less than magnificent. The reason why Top Gun appeals to me ... Imagine a Saturday night, not the red paint from the city to stay at night. You have your few cans of Budweiser, its nachos What more can you ask for. From the amazing flight sequences, Mavericks motorcycle, romantic and fresh ramplón to the soundtrack of 80. Top Gun should be taken for what it is. An entertaining movie. |

The film has very little to know the plot. It simply gives interesting situations INAS goes. Edwards and Cruise is convincing as best friends, Kelly and McGiiliss is good enough as Cruise's love interest. | For the first time I saw the film when he left at age 5. It had a profound effect on my life after I saw the film I wanted to be a naval aviator. Well, 14 years after that dream is almost a reality. I am 3 years of being an officer in the U.S. U.S. Marine Corps, and 4 years of being a Marine Corps aviator (Naval Aviator). This film taught me about love and women, and about friendship. In the second grade I was called "Maverick" with my friends and my best friend at the time whose name was Anthony was known by all as' Goose ', come to think of what looked like a young Anthony Edwards. I will never forget the profound effect of this movie has had on my life, originally wanting to be a Navy pilot in the U.S., and now I'm so close to achieving that dream of being a pilot now USMC. Thank you, Mr. Bruckheimer, the late Mr Simpson, Scott. I would also like to thank Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt, Michael Ironside, Whip Hubley, Val Kilmer, Rick Rossivich, Tim Robbins, John Stockdale, and the guy who played 'Wolfman', the characters they play you in this movie changed my life in a way that I have to thank you. |
