I wanted to see this movie because of Eliza Dushku, but she has only a small part in it, and his character is not very pleasant. However, the main character, played by Melissa Sagemiller, is very beautiful and perfect delight to watch the entire film. This is really nothing more than a showcase for his appearance and talent. She does a very good job. The story itself is, in the face of it, quite absurd. After a car accident, some are friends, possibly dead, but continue to live their lives earlier, while all sorts of mysterious things happen. Some are ill, after them, but you never really know who they are (possibly those who were in another car, but then not hear anything about why they are after them). The final scenes filmically seems particularly ambitious, but I can not get anything coherent to her. The opening scene, where the bad (using masks some strange) cut a blonde girl in the wrist and collect some of his blood is never explained or monitoring. Unless the bad guys are supposed to be a representation of surgeons who are trying to pull Cassie (Sagemiller) back from the dead ... but no, that does not seem to work. ill are so bad, it just really mess up a story that could have been interesting. In a supernatural tale about death and love and sacrifice, the hell needs that bad? 3 out of 10. |
A direct Ripoff of the Carnival of Souls 1998 version, only slightly with a different ending. A college student who is about to get away from her boyfriend decides to go dancing with your friends, but after leaving the club who are involved in a mysterious car accident that kills her boyfriend. Friends who are supposed to move, but the behavior has changed. She is Stalked by people at the club, seeing as their boyfreind retains dead on the campus, and keeps having strange and disturbing visions. Are you going crazy? Or your boyfreind has returned from the dead? Calculate the answer to the mystery is very easy, but the film is done with style, has a few exciting sequences and well done for persecution, and a very attractive cast members, especially leading lady Melissa Sagglimer which is a real find in her first feature film performance. However, the ending was rushed and the film suffers from a sense of deja vu, especailly since it has been done before and done better with other films. |
An incoherent mess of a clue gratingly with deafening sound, "Soul survivor" is the latest entry in the "who died and that life" genre of horror movies. Two teenage couples, Matt and Sean and Cassie and Annabel, are prepared to go to different schools, but before it was part until Thanksgiving break, to attend a last throw to a rave-type in some parts burned by the church's suggestion lusciously slutty Annabel (Eliza Dushku, aka Fe, the other Vampire Slayer). Motiveless creepy guys start paying too much attention to Cassie (the generic Melissa Sagemiller) for reasons that were never explained, and before long, the quartet to leave the game. Driving out of his SUV, they are persecuted, and then approved by the motiveless creepy guys, who inexplicably fast and do a 180 into the middle of the road, causing a nasty and fatal accident as the SUV flips over an embankment and plunges into a river. Sean is killed (or is it?), Cassie and spends the rest of the film to cope with the loneliness and guilt (she was driving) when she's not being chased by the ghost Sean or pursued by the creepy guys motiveless. Much remains unexplained inconsistency as Cassie's mental state is deteriorating still further, until you reach the predictable conclusion. Therefore, it is dead and who is alive? After ninety minutes of this purgatory, which really cares? |
If the writer / director is reading this (and I imagine you are now you must be out of work), then I must tell you - I've seen some bad movies in my time but this one has the distinction of having the worst premise I have ever heard. Saboteurs - No problem! A total waste of time. I laughed out loud at the end. Side Note - (if the entire film was in a coma then the scene where she sleeps with that kind means that someone raped her while she was eliminated?) Absolute rubbish. |
