| Not a fan of Adam Sandler, was initially reluctant to see this movie when my girlfriend brought home. I was immediately drawn into the film, as it has a kind of grip and not very clear line of history, without trying to be difficult, which is obviously a great piece of writer / director. Very early in the film, I felt oddly uncomfortable, as the film has a very strange, but true-to-the-life feel to it, but I appreciate when a movie can make me feel. Adam Sandler is great, in the kind of way Jim Carrey is great in the Truman Show. At times I thought this might be one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I hope to see again. If you are a fan of the bizarre comedy, which I would like this movie, and it's short! |
| With only two big movies (Boogie Nights and Magnolia), many people have been classified as a director PT Anderson drama, with a little touch of black humor and the disapproval of censorship of violence, sex and drugs alike. Punch-Drunk Love proves, beyond them, there is an evil PTA fan (myself included) Punch Drunk Love is one of those movies where, the thing that rocks is not the story, but its main character: Adam Sandler (the we can identify in most cases happy and stupid as the average American citizen) plays the total opposite: Barry Egan, a cold person and totally antisocial, which is dominated by its 7 sisters and manipulative in a way that animal reacts when someone expresses a human emotion that he, like love. Punch Drunk Love is a trip to the mind of man, a psychedelic masterpiece that combines the joy and anger, sadness and happiness, and explores what kind of emotions and feelings can be triggered when it is a beloved Ignored 10/10 |
| The first scene of this film reminds me of the first scene in "About Schmidt". This shows that Barry Schmidt and live a solitary life. Schmidt believes that the meaning of life as he writes a letter to Ndugu, and as Barry loves a woman. It's fascinating when Barry screams in the ownership of the business of phone sex, "I'm in love and I am stronger than you can imagine." When Barry is the only one that is destructive and isolated. However, is "somebody" when it is loved and trusted by Lena. I see myself through Barry. When I am alone, I like Barry. When I feel stronger than ever, I am with my family and God. Obviously, both are better than one. Barry is the one who needs a psychiatrist when one is alone, and he is a different person when you're with Lena. He has the courage to confront the phone sex entrepreneur. I had a question about the blue dress that Barry wore throughout the film. Anderson answers in an interview that he needed to have cool colors because he was going to make a film about love. |
| This movie bit crazy, but I have enjoyed and a recall of these mental lists of exceptionally good for watching movies. Being a fan of Adam Sandler me, that I only expect the same kind of humor that usually does, with his portrait over the top. However, he played a very different in this movie, a sort of quiet eccentric and disoriented man, whose slightly side in the odd, but not in love, and go against incredible and sometimes hilarious action to get the girl of your interest. Only a fan of romantic movies, whether it is unique and, of course, different from the normal trend. This film definitely has to be verified. |
| I see myself having to look several times to appreciate all the details that were not explained to you. One can easily let the images of this movie (the intensity of colors, the places not to mention characters) that lead through it. But there is much that can be taken from her. The location is very nice and the tables are always beautifully composed, in particular long shots. In terms of movie content, Watson and Sandler both give sterling performances. This is Sandler have had the opportunity to add a third dimension to their characters often in 2D through a full range of emotions and expression, but at the same time, the use of knowledge that is characterized by its extreme physicality and the specter of anger. Watson has been introduced into perfection. Apparently, the casting director knew that it would be a stark contrast to the rest of the cast and, as such, she has the natural character of Lena, maximizing the unease and disaffection felt by the character. | This is a great movie (my opinion) and here ... is why it shows two characters who fall in love and acting stupid. They do not have all the right things to say to each other, but they get scared, but walk away and I wish he had said something, anything other than what they did / does not mean, that are ashamed, that snort and Giggles . .. and the list goes on. If you do not like this movie, all right. I think this is the kind of film that is sorta sitting there, waiting for the "right" people to see it and nods his head and smile and say, yes, this is how it is. It's quiet and not scream for people to pay attention to it, it's just there. It makes no promises and is not required. The story Veer May "real" life, but these two characters rather do - what people do when they are very "in love" with someone. |
