| Like a breath of fresh air, director H. Bruce Humberstone breathes new life into the Warner Oland Chan series. | The film begins with Chan in Honolulu give a talk forense the policemen. While it appears that he was beaten to death for his prize horse, Charlie quickly deduced that it is murder! It appears that a syndicate of gaming is very involved in the murder and mayhem in an attempt to make a big haul in a race and the next it's up to Charlie to undo everything and make sure the culprits pay. In comparison to other Chan films, this plot has a much better, although the fabric has been used in part before. Although complex, the plot is very exciting and does much to help the film. In addition, the best of sidekicks Chan, Number One Son ( "Lee") is partly to provide some comic relief and assistance occasionally. | This is one of my favorites of the series Chan! Keye Luke as Lee Chan gave his amusing performance, in my opinion. His blabbering in Chinese when they carried out of Charlie's stateroom; their antics while the fireworks will go off, notice how difficult it hits one of the bad guys in the head with a bottle prop - really whacks him! Although I did not care how the "Streamline" character was treated by some of the other members of the cast, this entry is fun! One of Charlie's great quote - "spanked when young people are frequent rear view very familiar!" |
