| This film, if we could call a movie, is probably one of the worst movies I've seen. This story is about some troubled teenager played by Kyla Pratt, who does not fit into your high school society. To help her, a 400-lb man jumps from the TV and tries to allay their concerns. First, Fat Albert is annoying. He gets on my nerves by saying, "Hey, Hey, Hey" all the time. This ties in with my second point. There is no good performance. The only good part was a cameo scene with Bill Cosby. The script seemed like it was written as a pre-school class project with no help from teachers. The music is fine, but I'm not a big fan of the 70's funk / disc. Finally, I wonder if anyone under the age of 18 have even heard of Fat Albert before the movie came out. I know I have not. I rate this film a 2 / 10. |
| This film was almost bound to be, and so horribly. I've never seen "Fat Albert" as a kid, but think I would like to see the film based on the caricature of reputation. Had I known that Fat Albert and the band quickly through television cartoons of the city to real life, I would not have even seen the opening credits. It feels a good story with a good message, but I was terribly done. Many of the scenes in the movie seem as if they were to occupy the space and time rather than to help the plot. Fat Albert can do everything, and although the fat, which is super cool. This is about what I left most of the film. |
| This is a typical example of Hollywood made America made piece of shit. The famous caricature of 1972-1984 had the right formula to amuse the children. This movie has a lot of hip-hop trash, and the worst thing is that there is more lively. The acting is decent. I wonder how Bill Cosby material has sunk so far. So for those of you who have children, buy the original animated series from Time / Life books and videos. This movie would be much more attractive than it had been a 70's style of music without scoring a century for all purposes 21. The scenes at school are Preety funny, the screenplay is superficial and unworthy of a Bill Cosby stamp of approval. There are some funny scenes. But, unfortunately, the 2004 is very flat and lame compared to the original format of 70. |
| I must say that I was very disappointed when I saw this as movie.nothing fat albert.first of all if your fat is going to bring to life Albert don'y then making it life through the tv screen.no. and the costumes are horrible.fat Albert looked like a stuffed pillow partially case.and music what happened to the 70's soul and funk album? 2 and stripped of the characters get what they loved for.mushmouth was robbed of his blubbering and dumb Donald took his total head.this is the wrong approach for making a movie.also Fat Albert Bill Cosby was in the movie about a nano-second.just not what I expect to see in a Fat Albert movie. |
| In most cases, when "the family" and "movie" are side by side in the same sentence, my first instinct is to run as fast as I can otherwise. But with a movie pass about to expire, and nothing else in the theater that pique my interest (Christmas with the Kranks? NO THANKS!), I sat in my seat with no expectations. I have not seen the original TV series in years, but I have always been a big fan of Bill Cosby, and I was immediately put at ease when the credit "written by Bill Cosby" came up. Bill script keeps the original spirit of the characters intact, and comes in the real world without an excess of "Oh, wow! Things are so different now!" -style jokes. This movie is for children, not on children. Things are kept simple without being condescending, and at no time have adults to talk about his way of explaining something "adult" to the Kiddies. In the final, while this movie will not win any technical or artistic awards, is still a bit of fun movie that the whole family can enjoy, and for once, it's a good thing. B-plus. |
| I work with adolescents with problems and decided to invite a student over break to go to the movies with my 4 and 9 years old. He suggested "Fat Albert" - I'm so glad he did! The film was absolutely wonderful in its innocence and charm. My son liked it because of the "fantasy to reality" twist ... and pretty girls and great music. We also liked the idea of seeking someone for "lonely" man. My kids thought the jokes were funny, the guys are funny, music and dancing were "the bomb" and even the plot is still a bit of suspense for a child. I loved it, because I grew up in the "Fat Albert" and the series was so happy to see and instantly remember all my old friends. And the group of hilarious scenes in which the actions are key to the cartoon characters are just ridiculous to the configuration of real life are so smart and delightfully funny - I was so happy! If you're looking for an all around, not crass or insinuations Laden, really sweet family movie - that's the one! |
