| The director of deftness in quietus deep and storytelling really moves in this movie. I thought hearts and felt by all the characters of love and above all the connections of the beautiful love story between the young Isabel Tommaso older and really killed me ... The relationship Oeudipal the Son has wih her mother was totally credible as well. It is a film of NY and thank God for that. That kind of intersection of lives voyeurisitc with a view. In the great city that never stops. To love, death, suffering, to think, to live. Now I am totally obsessed with this Mexican-American director Alfredo de Villa and we hope that this next film. Just saw his other film Sundnace Washington Heights and again devastated by the artist must be beautiful screenshot, and more importantly, wamrly. Vivre indie film and excellent work! |
| I recently had the pleasure of seeing a drift in Manhattan in the HBO Latino Film Festival in New York. The film made me laugh, almost brought me to tears and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. The character development is amazing in this film. Heather Graham, William Baldwin, Dominic Chianese and Victor Rasuk (which I have loved since Raising Victor Vargas) give all the multi-dimensional performances. Victor points out of my character, the character of Heather kept me guessing. You could say there was something wrong with the distant / unhappy look in his eyes. William Baldwin is very convincing as a husband trying to recover his life. Most impressive of all was the performance of Dominic. It's really almost brought me to tears. Oh, this movie also has a sex scene in steam! |
| I liked this movie. The film has been playing this relationship between Heather Graham and the character of the young man obsessed with his capture in the photos. First, I am afraid it will limit the ambush, and I kept waiting for something bad to happen to the young. Gradually, the child's pictures reveal something deep and personal on Heather Graham's character. When they finally do meet, the result is amazing. All the actors in good performances, especially Heather Graham. If you enjoy character-driven movies, then this film will interest you. I also like the pace of the film. It is slow and methodical. Often, movies rush through their stories, but one takes time. |
| I enjoyed the movie. I did not expect much and was pleasantly surprised by the story, characters and development. It is one of the films that do not give enough information about the characters (on purpose) so that leaves you with questions and wanting more. The relationship between the characters is extremely light so that, normally, really annoying feature added to this movie. Some of the features of the film are a bit disturbing, but I do not feel strange enough to prevent most people from enjoying the film. For me, a 7 means that I liked and would certainly do it again. I just would not be happy to have paid 10 dollars to see it. |
| Although we often find interest in the history of interwoven lines of nature films like Magnolia or accelerated or Babel, I could not get one for my interests. Now I'm not here to complain that the film has no explosions, action or a lot of plot twists - that is not meant to be that kind of movie. The few plot-driven elements are rather scarce and are mostly there to boost the characters instead of history. The story itself is never the approach envisaged anyway. It gives me an acknowledgment that some attention to have greater involvement in the plot have been made the work of a service. In terms of execution (acting, directing) effort is certainly strong, though never really stellar, you will not find something really worth seeing the movie on its own. The problem, therefore, is the model on which rests the execution, and as I said earlier, since the material is too dry to make the film a memorable one. Not only is not enough happening here to make this worth the look. Nothing much has been achieved, and the trip itself was not exactly the reflection or entertaining. It is not that terrible, just very forgettable. |
