| Beautiful, honest dialogue and characters. RJ loved, the rascally brain, and Vern, the cautious but courageous leader of the "family". Both characters are strong and the balance of history very well. Each member of this family contributes something unique and really fun. Lots of sight gags, too! Talk about multiple levels of humor for children and adults: Wait 'until you see the owner of Gladys-union pressure' ell-and your lifestyle. And do not forget to (pitch here) the VERMINATOR ... Even when poking fun at human behavior, the story and the characters are never mean. The movie makes you laugh ... makes you think ... makes you laugh again! Very gratifying experience. Well, I'm not giving any further here. And yes, I'm going to go see it again. What can I say? I loved it. To see over the hedge. Your children will love you and howl! |
| This movie was better than I expected. I thought it would be predictable and a penny for the animation of a dozen movies coming out now. I am a fan of animation and the animation was great, apart from history. The characters were somewhat predictable, but very well done and not boring. The voices are very well done as well. This is a film that children can also enjoy (sounds kind of strange is that animated films are generally supposed to be for children), in addition to adults. It has some really funny parts that are not cliché humor. Probably the best part about that is the message it sends about human beings invade the habitats of animals and how they affect the balance of nature. |
| While this movie does not have the depth of Shrek or Finding Nemo, is a very fun and well done for Dreamworks animation. The animation is first-rate, and the animals were very fun to watch. The voice acting was excellent and well cast. What I liked most about this movie (other than the super funny bits here and there) is the social commentary in them. It's nothing serious, but it shows us how gluttonous many of us "humans" have become. While many of the human characters are exaggerations, there is a bit of truth behind every cartoon. My favorite is the owner president of the Association. She was so exaggerated (even in a realistic way!) That I was not sure if I was laughing because it was so true to life, or whether it was just to the outside. Anyway, good movie, good times, and go with good company. After some mediocre animated films from Dreamworks, which hit once more with more than a good coverage. |
| My wife and I were able to attend an advance screening of most of the coverage, and the two of us thought it was great. I had no idea what he was planning for DreamWorks to do with the comic, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan Shrek or Madagascar, but this movie was really very good and certainly it's worth my time. I hope that people who were on the other fence, they will decide to see it. Subtle messages about equal treatment, honesty, trust and friendship are present without being heavy handed. The satire on America's economy driven by consumers (particularly in the food industry) is relevant, refreshing and smart. Adults easily enjoy this movie as much as children, which is no easy task for an animated film. I'm a huge fan of classic Disney and a lover of animation in general, and my advice to people who have a soft spot for great animation is taking the time to see what "During the coverage," my daughter thinks RJ Hammy and two animals are the cutest ever created. The trailer sells the slapstick humor that will build your target audience in the theater, but please be aware that this movie does not have the heart and substance. I even wonder if the torch will pass from Disney for DreamWorks this year. In any case, over the coverage is definitely my support! |
| This film was beyond excellent. Probably th best animated film I've seen since the search for Nemo. Most of the coverage has all the pizazz you could want in an animated film. Great plot, great characters, very intelligent and animation. It's very funny, and controlled its humor in a family matter, so that children of all ages can go see, and I still laugh! I would recommend this movie to anyone! It is definitely worth the money! The voices of the characters that have been played by a wide range of celebrities perfectly fit the critters. None of the voices seem out, and everything was on key. The only drawback of the film is that seriously wish that this is a little more. But is a child of the animation. You can not really expect to be more than 1 hour and 30 minutes anyway. But as I said before, this is definitely worth the money and I doubt that the family enjoyment. |
