| I personally never heard of Mr Bloomfield, and therefore there was no real intention of seeing this movie until they saw it mentioned in the message boards of other films. That said, I must say this is the best in the recent series of films from Iraq war (as REDACTED, Home of the Brave, etc) i half expected to be drafted and was pleasantly surprised to find much better. I think that really showed that there are multiple sides to a story, and did so without undue prejudice. be a Muslim I must admit that it seemed a bit tilted toward the Iraqis, with Marines as undisciplined and Emotionless (although one of the players feel guilty and, in fact, this incident caused a scandal). there is no list of actors, which in a sense, really the best movie, as almost see the actors as the characters themselves (especially since a lot of the dialogue is improvised). I think it was well done and well thought out. better than expected. I wonder what the U.S. reaction if / when there is a release? unlike the work of Moore (as was said here by another user) neither side is showing as completely innocent or completely wrong. I'm not sure if this is exactly how the incident occurred, but if it is, then, is certainly some food for thought in this film. |
| I did mourn. I realized only questions are: that the translation from Arabic is spoken at times misleading and has no relation to what they actually said. Some of the players are not the Iraqi accents (Palestine, Egypt, and others ...), but most are Iraqis. It's still a great movie that shows what happens in Iraq, and that war is ugly. It is one of the few films that are the subject from the other side. He's big, so is the scenery (which does not look a lot like Iraq). I say again that I did mourn, a lot. |
